D-Link introduces 3-in-1 wireless pocket router for convenient 802.11n Wi-Fi on the go
February 26, 2010

Philippines, February 25, 2010 – D-Link, the end-to-end computer networking solutions provider for consumers and businesses, today introduced a new Wi-Fi addition to its portable and lightweight multifunction pocket router family. Measuring just 9.14cm by 6.6cm and weighing just 66g, the D-Link DAP-1350 Wireless N Pocket Router/Access Point supports three functions in a handy form factor. It is an 802.11n wireless router for connecting a Wi-Fi network, an access point for adding Wi-Fi connectivity to an existing wired network, and is also capable of connecting an Ethernet-ready device, such as a desktop PC to an existing Wi-Fi network.

“The DAP-1350’s compact size and light weight makes it the perfect Wi-Fi travel companion for business or personal use,” said Mr Desmond Toh, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd. “It can be easily set up to create an 802.11n network in a conference room, hotel room or wherever a Wi-Fi network is needed.

Faster wireless n capability
Supporting the latest wireless n standard, the DAP-1350 is equipped with multiple intelligent antennas that maximises its speed and range of wireless signals, enabling it to significantly outperform previous generation Wireless G devices by up to five times faster at further distances. These internal antennas also take advantage of wireless signals that bounce off walls and ceilings to work around obstacles and help eliminate dead spots.

Advanced features for added security
The DAP-1350 offers the latest wireless security features to help prevent unauthorised access. It supports WPA and WPA2 to offer the best possible encryption regardless of client devices and is equipped with a simple Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) push button to easily add devices and secure the network.

Additionally, the DAP-1350 also includes SharePort Technology, which allows sharing of a USB printer or storage when in router mode. Besides supporting a D-Link 3G adapter, the integrated USB 2.0 port also gives the DAP-1350 the ability to be powered by USB when connected to a PC, in situations when a power outlet is not easily accessible.

Price & Availability
The D-Link DAP-1350 Wireless N Pocket Router/Access Point will be available at authorised retailers, resellers and distribution partners in quarter two 2010.
